Responsibilities
The Data Governance Analyst III is responsible for leading and directing the development of comprehensive data governance solutions, as well as the implementation of data quality solutions for the business. Solves data integrity issues, makes data quality improvements, and establishes metrics for critical data tracking.
Develops and implements new data governance projects to ensure enterprise data is trusted, connected, accessible, and of the highest quality. Interacts with business leaders and data shepherds across the enterprise, and guides users in getting the most out of the Client data governance program and platform.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
* Demonstrates an advanced understanding of data initiatives, leads data project efforts, directs others to elicit and understand data governance processes and requirements.

* Arranges stakeholder meetings, demonstrates advanced skills required to effectively facilitate data governance requirement gathering meetings and gather and present requirements.
* Acts as project manager for small- and medium-sized data governance projects: defines scope, creates and manages project plans, manages issues, provides project communication, and manages sponsors’ expectations.
* Consults with business users to identify current data use processes and translates them to data governance workflows.
* Translates business functional group data needs into technical solutions and corresponding business requirements in the form of user stories, use cases, and acceptance test objectives.
* Acts as data governance workflow subject matter expert and directs users to perform specific tasks related to their roles.
* Learns and uses the tools aligned with the program: the Collibra data governance platform and Tibco EBX, plus Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, and the Microsoft suite.
* Produces professional-quality work products such as process flows, use cases, screen mock-ups, functional specifications, project documentation, diagrams, templates, spreadsheets, slide decks, and training materials.
* Guides data stewards through their journey using the data governance tool by providing application demonstrations, training sessions, and user group meetings.
* Mentors peers and other team members.
* Understands business operations, requirements, and data quality opportunities; solves key business challenges and supports future strategic initiatives by analyzing data sources, data products, and data processes for the business lines.
* Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed. Provides thorough documentation of assumptions and reporting processes.
* Effectively prioritizes and successfully executes projects in high-demand environment.
* Works collaboratively with day-to-day leaders in the field as well as executive leaders to improve data processes and data trust.
Qualifications
* Willingness to take on business/data analysis tasks as well as project management, technical writing, training, and leadership tasks as needed.
* Experience in the healthcare data field is required.
* Experience with data governance, data quality, and/or data profiling is strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated experience in collaborating with both business and technical teams.
* Ability to quickly understand business processes and the underlying data needs filled by those processes.
* Experience creating detailed requirements documents, design documents, and workflows.
* Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of management and team members.
* Ability to understand and analyze user requirements as they relate to organizational goals and objectives.
* Ability to present across a multi-functional executive group.
* Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
