Vice President Operations

Job Overview

Our client, Beauty Brand, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to champion the business’ operations, supply chain, and logistical needs from product development to strategic retail expansion. The Operations team is the engine behind the scenes that ensures that operating systems are organized, efficient, and solution oriented. This role sources, manages, and implements the best operating systems that give the business a competitive edge. This role will be responsible for owning and managing the business’s DTC and retail operations, global supply chain management, vendor relations, customer experience, and order fulfillment. This role will be reporting to the CEO.

Near-Term Objectives:

* Provide strategic guidance on sales trends, market dynamics, and growth opportunities
* Utilize data analytics and sales forecasting techniques to track performance metrics, evaluate effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, with both retailers and customers, including expansion into new markets, geographies, and customer segments
* Align departmental strategies with the organization’s overall goals, adapting as the company grows, and being a trusted advisor who gives honest opinions and different perspectives on strategic topics
* Manage and oversee relationships with our entire supply chain including finished goods, packaging, and other suppliers
* Lead and take responsibility for all operational elements of product development including product testing, sustainability compliance, and quality fulfillment
* Own retail operations and B2B relationships with confidence, thinking about strategic growth and business goal alignment at each decision point
* Define and implement standard operating procedures regarding packaging, shipping expectations, return policies – both internally and externally
* Manage and own operating budget in collaboration with the CFO
* Identify key opportunities to improve processes affecting the customer experience including the warehouse, customer service, transportation, etc.
* Manage and continuously improve upon the standard operating procedures regarding packaging, shipping expectations, return policies, and costs – both internally and externally
* Own, build and optimize relationship with B2B partners to ensure best experience for new and existing customers

Requirements:

* Creative problem solver with deep passion for organizing and implementing systems for cross-functional teams
* Analytical Thinking: robust analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in financial analysis and corporate strategy
* Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, adept at handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
* Proactive leader with the ability to manage up with solutions to problems
* Efficient communicator to all cross-functional partners including external vendors
* Ability to multitask and prioritize key tasks
* Experience working with CPG logistics, Supply Chain – especially in fast pace environment or DTC-native brands
* Retail Operations expertise with deep knowledge of EDI systems and global transportation processes
* Experience with Sephora
* Ability to build and lead a productive team that’s excited building the future of the brand
