Key Responsibilities Provide virtual therapy sessions—individual, group, and family—tailored specifically for clients dealing with substance use disorders. Craft and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect clients’ individual needs, aspirations, and progress. Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team comprising case managers, counselors, and medical professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care. Deliver crisis intervention and timely support to clients in need. Maintain precise and up-to-date records of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to state regulations and facility protocols. Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training to stay abreast of best practices in the field of addiction treatment. Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on relevant subjects related to substance use, recovery, and mental health. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality at all times. Required Skills Licensed as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or PsyD in California. Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and proficiency in conducting sessions via telehealth. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to establish rapport with clients in a remote context. Strong understanding of addiction, co-occurring disorders, and recovery processes. Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting. Flexibility to accommodate diverse client schedules, including potential evening or weekend sessions. Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping current with evolving treatment methodologies. Qualifications A minimum of 1 year of experience in providing therapy for substance use disorders. A strong foundation in working with diverse populations, including adolescents and individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders, is preferred. Familiarity with KIPU software is advantageous.
