POSITION SUMMARY:
Swing Education is seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Human Resources Business Partner (Jr. HRBP) to support our growing organization. As part of the People Operations Team, you’ll help handle HR-related inquiries and provide timely and accurate information to employees and managers. The Jr. HRBP will work closely with the HR team and business leaders to deliver effective HR solutions that align with the company’s goals and values. This role will focus on providing guidance and support in areas such as employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Triage, respond and help resolve Happy Fox and Zendesk tickets that are assigned to the HR team.
* Maintain and update employee records in compliance with HR policies and regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a positive and inclusive work environment by implementing initiatives to enhance employee morale and engagement.
* Work together with the HR team to address employee performance issues and support performance improvement actions when necessary.
* Support and conduct investigations, including conducting interviews, acting as a witness, taking notes, gathering data, compiling findings and recommending resolution.
* Assist in the performance management process, guiding managers and employees on performance-related issues.
* Advise management on employee relations matters, guiding best practices and compliance with HR policies.
* Assist with the management of the semi-monthly corporate payroll process.
* Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and partners with the legal department.
* Assist in processing personnel transactions for corporate and substitute teachers
* Respond to inquiries from government entities or employee personal request (VOE’s, etc) and assists in preparing correspondence as requested
* Reconcile monthly expense report for People Ops or office billing items
* Assist with clerical functions such as mailing notices, collecting equipment and shipping packages
* Supports Swing’s effort to comply with HIPAA, confidentiality and security requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and talent development.
* Experience with payroll software such as UKG and ADP with a strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, ticketing and HR information systems.
* Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent organizational skills are a must.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
Remote expectations
* Employees are to be online and accessible for 8 hours, Monday to Friday. The company’s core business hours are from 9:00am – 5:00pm PT
* Tools will be provided for communicating with team members and collaborating on projects.
* Meetings will be scheduled over video conferencing. Times are to be discussed and agreed upon between the employee and manager.

COMPENSATION:
$79,511—$87,880 USD
