This role will support the Search Product, which enables ~65% of Seamless Sales, as well as the Products team, which manages the product cards and detail pages.

Things to note from the manager:

The HM is not looking for someone to just create dashboards, looking for tech savvy candidates that understand data-tagging through a database.

The person must be able to work autonomously.

Job Description

The Digital Insights Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that support business decision-making processes. This individual will help us to craft a story of customer behavior through the search & browse shopping experience, demonstrating where there are points of friction or opportunities to improve/innovate. This person will consult with our Implementations group on the requirements of our analytics, as well as help craft when we need to create / adjust any metrics or definitions.

What does success look like in this role: Someone who is able to dive into complex analytic problems and drive toward accuracy and clarity in understanding. This person will be able to collaborate across many teams and tell a connected story about what is happening in Search, Product cards or PDPs.

What is expected in the first 30-60-90 days?

30 days

• Building relationships with product teams & other cross-functional teams, such as implementations

• Familiarizing themselves with Adobe Analytics specific to Kroger and our products

• Familiarizing themselves with our products

• Review strategic approach for analytics

60 days

• Begin outlining plans to execute

• Demonstrate ability to build / maintain dashboards for ongoing analysis

• Understanding of all current AB tests

• Begin storytelling about general analytics

90 days

• Begin mobilizing work to adjust analytic approaches as needed

• Adjusting metric calculations for improved accuracy

• Custom reports/dashboards for analysis

Nice to have skills/experience (listed in order of importance):

• Comfort working with development teams – technical awareness

• Familiarity with technologies across web & native

• Comfort with ambiguity and problem solving – determination in the face of challenges

• In depth adobe analytics experience

• Complex calculations & custom measurement creation

• Storytelling capabilities

• Nice to have – statistical experience

Key Responsibilities

Collaborating with Search & Product PMs on performance trends at a high level, connecting how AB tests are adjusting our overall KPI tracking, identifying north star metrics & ensuring our implementation and definition of analytics is sound, and helping to identify new opportunities based on customer insights.

Key business questions being addressed:

• How might we build confidence in the accuracy of our analytics through how they are captured and reported?

• How might we drive better alignment on consistent application of analytics across CX?

• How might we accelerate the speed in which we can implement analytics by removing barriers and optimizing workflows?

• How might we enable product teams to analyze performance in an easy way so our Digital Insights Analyst can focus on complex analyses and new metrics?
