We’re Looking For An: Ad Operations Engineer who is a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in tag management, digital tracking, and ad operations. They possess hands-on experience working with various analytics platforms, including Google Analytics and GTM, and are proficient in managing large-scale tagging infrastructures. This individual excels in collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, IT, engineering, and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of campaign tracking, attribution, and reporting. With a deep understanding of technical ad operations, they are adept at problem-solving, formulating innovative solutions for tracking gaps, privacy compliance, and user experience optimization.
Location: Remote (Office located in Woodland Hills, CA) What You’ll Be Doing: Develop innovative tracking, tagging, and reporting solutions that address business needs, such as attribution strategies, user experience optimization, identity management, and privacy compliance. Liaise with marketing/media buyers, engineering to address and resolve misaligned requests, allowing the Engineering team to focus on higher-priority projects. Assist in implementing and managing analytics tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics. Facilitate server-to-server (S2S) integrations and our CMS platform. Maintain S2S apps. Ensure tracking setups comply with company security policies and develop custom solutions as needed. Support conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts using both internal and third-party tools like VWO. Anticipate future tracking needs and submit development requests for improvements via dataLayer pushes and site updates. Identify and address attribution gaps, proposing solutions for team consideration. Oversee and maintain over 25 Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers. Collaborate with internal media buyers, agencies, and the Marketing Operations team to ensure proper tag configuration for campaign tracking. Manage JIRA tickets and deliver tracking setups promptly while continually monitoring signal integrity for consistency and accuracy. Support the Director of Technical Ad Operations in executing tag management strategies across multiple containers. Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.): Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (required) BS Computer Science (preferred) Digital acquisition marketing experience, development, php, single page apps. Strong understanding of signal tracking in campaign evaluation and optimization. 2+ years’ experience with GTM Google Analytics or other analytics platforms Passion for the digital media space in health & wellness, personal development, and everything in between. The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California’s cost of labor analysis.
